The Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) office supports the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Edwards Air Force Base scientific community by providing a niche set of services that set them above what a typical technical editor or writer would provide. The AFRL STINFO office resources work directly with the scientist, project managers and contractors to assure the research documents are grammatically correct and that all illustrations, figures, tables and relevant data are formatted and properly identified. The STINFO team also provides, applies and tracks to completion the correct classifications, distribution codes, public release, patent, archival and publications processes. Once each Technical Report/Paper is complete the STINFO team works with the Air Force Contract office to close out the R&D contract and assures the researchers are properly compensated per their contract. |
