Research and Development 3.1

QI-Solutions Team supports the application of scientific and analytical disciplines to develop new or improving war-fighting capabilities and has demonstrated this by:

a. Performing analysis using nonlinear dynamics and stochastic resonance processing techniques to enhance theoretical and operational performance of electromagnetic sensor designs, increase electromagnetic noise reduction and signal extraction processing, and increase multi-element acoustic array target detection performance.

b. Providing research & development (R&D) support to NAVSEA and NSWC Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) for combat weapon system development on board surface ships. QI-Solutions Team provided system engineering and test engineering support to NSWC PHD A and S-Departments on the Ships Self Defense System (SSDS) and Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) combat system elements, associated weapons, and sensors.

c. Additionally, QI-Solutions Team has provided R&D support to NAVSEA, Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Program Executive Office (PEO) engineers in surface ships (DD(X)), advanced radars (Multi-Function Radar (MFR)), weapon systems (Naval Integrated Fire Control Counter Air (NIFC-CA)), and Electronic Warfare (EW) programs. Our team provided system engineering and test engineering support to JHU/APL on the MFR radar.
