QI-Solutions® Awarded Contract to Support CEC Fleet Introduction

QI-Solutions ® announced today that it has won a $731,952 award as part of the winning CACI Technologies Team on a four-year, $9.8 million prime re-compete contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) to provide sensor network engineering, integrated logistics, and test evaluation services in support of the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), a naval electronic defense system. The CEC system integrates data from a Navy network of sensors on ships and aircraft, creating a single common air defense tactical display or “air picture.” CEC technology enables earlier detection and more consistent tracking of air threats and contacts.

QI-Solutions ® will perform work in the sensor network engineering and test evaluation areas of the new contract. Sensor networking engineering tasks involve install Cooperative Engagement Transmission Processing Set (CETPS) equipment and Engineering Changes aboard ships and at LBTS; witness Factory Acceptance Testing; review technical manuals and provide input to Naval message-based technical assists.

Test evaluation tasks involve participation in test event planning efforts and test events; assist in definition/development of CEC test requirements/objectives; review proposed changes to the CEC Specifications; develop, review, and provide inputs to all test plans; assist in scenario development/certification process; act as a test team member, serve as a console operator, observe and describe system performance anomalies, and resolve system or configuration problems. The work will be performed in California, Virginia, and on board Navy ships and aircraft worldwide.
